MAROUSO MARINOPOULOU

Architecture is the art of creating space: the space where we live in. Cinema and theatre also create space: a space lived by imaginary characters, where invented narratives unfold. The relation of architecture, cinema and theatre is powerful and the exchange between them can benefit each discipline and direct it towards new creative territories. I believe in the interdisciplinary dimension of architecture and I find the freedom of stage and film designing fascinating. An abstract narrative can meet its spatial expression in a movie or on stage. The combination of the two dimensional screen with the 3D designed space can expand creativity even further.
